Figurative Sculpture

Sculpting and drawing of the human figure from observation is my foundation and home base. All artwork that that has followed, no matter how seemingly different, contains aspects of my figurative experience, including gesture, design, form logistics, tension, structure, proportion and layering. It gave me a basic understanding of the three dimensional creative process and its connection with material as a living, felt, human expression.
